Where will your John Hughes Tribute be tonight?
John Hughes has died at age 59.
In my opinion, John Hughes captured the voice the coming-of-age generation more accurately and honestly than most writer/directors ever came close to. I still scour through my movie collection deep cuts like Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Weird Science, The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, Pretty in Pink, Planes, Trains and Automobiles, Home Alone, The Great Outdoors or Uncle Buck for a Chicago based laugh or three. Here’s the trailer to one of my all time favorites, The Breakfast Club.
The Breakfast Club is one of my favourite movies as well, however I don’t like the couplings at the end…
